Long Story short, if you are a Samsung fan and want a mid-range smartphone under ₹ 25,000 with a Giant battery and a Good Processor, you should definitely look at the Samsung Galaxy F62 as an considerable option.

For the Tech-Freaks like me out there who don't want to risk their money, this article will get you clear if you should buy this or not? So keep reading!

This smartphone exhibits one of the smartest strategies, especially in the Indian market. But, other than that it can be a steal. Let's talk about the best parts of this Smartphone.

DISPLAY

We all know how good the displays on the Samsung smartphones are. In my opinion, they are among the best displays in the industry. The same is the case of the F62, the Saturation, Contrast, and Overall colors are perfect for an ideal user. Although it isn't the brightest display it does look good. The 6.7-inch sAmoled display could have been a little bit better be it a higher refresh rate display.

PERFORMANCE & GAMING

The 7nm Exynos 9825 SoC on the F62 is said to be optimized for gaming as per Samsung paired with the Mali-G76 GPU. Games run without any lag. Call of Duty is smoothly playable at max graphics settings and the frame rates which can't be done on the F62's competitors like Realme X7 Pro. It doesn't mean this processor is faster than the Dimensity 1000+ on the latter. But, it is faster than the Snapdragon 750G on the Mi 10i, Snapdragon 765G on the OnePlus Nord, and Mediatek Dimensity 800U on Realme X7. This shows that Samsung, with the help of its Exynos 9825 SoC (Used in Flagship Samsung Note 10 Series)
This means Gaming isn't the thing which we should worry about in this phone.

BATTERY

With a whopping 7000mAH battery, this is gonna last forever. While most other smartphone manufacturers still provide a maximum of 5000mAH battery on their smartphones, Samsung F62 Features 1.4x times bigger battery enough even for heavy users and gamers. It will easily last 2 days even with heavy usage.

CAMERA

The 64MP Primary Camera and 12MP Ultrawide Camera take decent images in Daylight with ample amount of sharpness and good color reproduction. The HDR is very balanced and the photos taken with them in daylight are identical if not similar in terms of the color tone and contrast. The Ultrawide camera manages the exposure surprisingly well which is a good thing.
The 5MP Macro Camera produces good details in daylight or a well-lit environment. Although in low-light, it struggles to preserve the details and photos results to be smudgy. I don't know why Smartphone manufacturers keep the depth sensor, as nowadays, it can be easily and perfectly done with the help of software processing.
Overall, we can say that the camera performance is good to average, as there is nothing much to talk about.

Now Let's come to the Cons of the Galaxy F62.

SLOW CHARGING

We get a TypeC- 25W charger in the box which can charge the phone in almost 2 hours if not quicker which is a little bit surprising. Being a 25W Charger should have taken less time to charge the phone, but it is what it is.

MISSING 5G

Although according to some reports, there is almost a year for 5G to come in India officially, People looking for a future-proof smartphone would be disappointed as this offering by Samsung does not support 5G. People investing ₹ 25K will definitely look for a smartphone with 5G capabilities. It would have been a nice recommendation to these people if it would have support for 5G.

NO HIGHER REFRESH RATE DISPLAY

The display is also a good overall package in the F62, but it would have been better if it had a higher refresh rate (maybe 120Hz or even 90Hz would have been fine).

THICKER AND HEAVIER FORM FACTOR

With 9.5mm of thickness and 218g of weight, it is a tad thicker and heftier to hold as compared to other modern-day smartphones. People who like a smartphone with a smaller and lighter form-factor would also be disappointed with this. This is not for single-handed usage too as it is a 6.7-inch large display.

CAMERAS

YES, this is surprising that Cameras are among the Pros and Cons both because photos taken indoors lack detail and the Ultra-wide camera captures pictures that come out to be of no use and it is better to avoid using it at Night or in Low-light environments.

We were surprised to see that 60fps video recording is not supported in both front and rear cameras even in any resolution. I think Samsung should get this in a software update.

VERDICT

If you are comfortable with this Samsung Galaxy F62 according to the Pros and Cons of it, and you are a Samsung Lover, then it is a good smartphone to buy in the mid-range price segment. I have tried to keep it as straightforward as it could be. Hope this helps you to buy a great smartphone.
