Introduction

Studio Monitors (also known as Media Reference Monitors) are quite different from the Consumer-grade Speakers and are designed to deliver a flat response (neutral frequency response) for the accurate reproduction of the sound, important for accurately mixing and mastering tracks. When the final output, then produced is played on any premium headphones or smartphones' speakers, sounds equally good. On the other hand, consumer multimedia speakers may emphasize certain frequencies, which is not ideal.

How Good is PreSonus Eris E3.5?

With 50W of full rich sound (25W/side) with class AB bi-amplification and a neutral frequency response of 80Hz - 20kHz, you get accurate sound quality that is expected from studio monitors for double the price of PreSonus Eris E3.5. The 3.5" woven composite Kevlar woofers are solid and offer excellent low-frequency sound reproduction with minimal to no distortion, backed up by the 1" silk-dome tweeters providing balanced, smooth, and clear mids.
