Samsung Galaxy M42 Quick Specs :
Samsung Galaxy M42 comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ display, runs on Andriod 11 and One UI 3.1 out of the box, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G and sports a whopping 5000mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy M42 Camera Review :
Galaxy M42 comes with a stylish quad-camera setup which has a 48MP Primary camera, 8MP Ultrawide camera, 5MP Macro camera, 5MP Depth-sensor and 20MP front camera. It can record videos in 4K @ 30fps, 1080p @ 30fps, 720p @ 480fps. So, I've taken many sample shots from the Primary camera. As We all know that Samsung company mainly focuses on colour stabilization which is why it can take really really good photos through it.
Many of you are a fan of selfies, right? So, Galaxy M42's 20MP Front-facing camera is perfect for you with Auto Skin-Smoothening, Bright colours and quite detailed and clear photos.
Samsung Galaxy M42 Performance Review :
Samsung Galaxy M42 packs itself with Snapdragon 750G 5G Octa-core processor which is based on 8 nm. I tested it up by opening all the apps at once and I didn't see any lag or something while opening apps and switching between apps is also Buttery-smooth. And I was doing this test at night and by mistake, I forgot to close apps. After waking up in the morning, I was impressed that it has all the apps open exactly where I left them. This gives an idea that its RAM management is good. The UFS 2.1 Storage makes everything smooth.
Samsung Galaxy M42 Gaming Review :
Okay, so the gaming review is incomplete without playing everyone's favourite BGMI. I played BGMI for 3 hours straight at Smooth and the frame rate was set to Ultra. While playing BGMI it maintains 40+ fps all the time and sometimes hitting 48 fps. Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is powered by Adreno 619 GPU I didn't see any lag or Frame Drops and the main thing is after playing a heavy game for such a long period, the phone doesn't heat up. So, it is clear that heating will not be a major issue, You can enjoy your games without worrying.
Samsung Galaxy M42 Pros & Cons :
- It comes with an HD+ display (Not FHD+*), which is a minor drawback that offers many advantages. You will hardly notice until and unless you're a "Tech-Freak", but this display also increases its battery life.
-It comes with a 60hz Refresh rate Display (Not 90hz*), which is now even available on budget phones, and you will not probably notice it while scrolling or switching between apps because of the minimalization of Samsung one UI which provides crazy smoothness.
- It supports 25W Fast charging but comes with a 15W Adapter (in the box) which takes about 2 hours (approx.) to fully charge the mobile but due to HD+ and Low Refresh Rate display, it performs like a 7000mAh Beast and gives a ScreenTime of 11 hours on heavy usage. Yes, you read it right!
Should you buy a 5G smartphone in 2021 :
I don't recommend buying a 5G phone now because there are many phones out there with more high-end specs and at a cheaper cost until and unless you want to buy a phone for the long term.By long-term, I mean at least 2-3 years. I bought it because I want to use it for the long term. If you didn't plan to buy a phone next year or after 1 year, I recommend you to definitely go for Samsung Galaxy M42 5G because after all Samsung is bringing good features in mid-range.
Point to be noted: This phone is not available offline. You have to buy it from Amazon or Flipkart.
Conclusion :
If you want to use a phone for the long term, then you can consider it. You can't find any other phone comparable to it at this range.
