Realme Book (slim): Design & Looks

Realme Book (slim) is a thin and lightweight ultrabook weighing around 1.38 Kgs and is 14.9 mm thin which explains the "Slim" in its name. It is thinner than the Macbook Air and lighter than the Macbook Pro. Its Fully High-quality Aluminium built chassis has impressed me the most. 

Also, the looks of this laptop are stunning and it looks and feels premium just like the Macbooks with which Realme kept comparing it. 

The bezels are thinner providing a 90% Screen-to-Body ratio. In the terms of design, realme has nailed it. "Hats off Realme".

Realme Book (slim): Display

Another good thing about the Realme Book (slim) is that it has a beautiful 14-inch 2K (2160x1440 pixels)Display with 100% sRGB coverage which is amazing both for media consumption and graphic-related works. It has a peak brightness of 400 nits.

The sharpness is stunning as it has double the number of pixels as compared to most of the laptops under this price segment.

Realme Book (slim): Audio

Realme Book (slim) is equipped with a Dual HARMAN audio speakers system which provides DTS Stereo Surround Sound for an immersive audio experience.

Realme offers two variants of the Realme Book (slim) both powered by Intel's latest 11th Gen Processors. 

• 11th Gen Intel Core i3- 1115G4 (dual-core quad thread) with a clock speed of 3.0 GHz which can boost up to 4.1 GHz coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB PCIe SSD. It supports Intel UHD Graphics.
• 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 (quad-core octa thread) with a clock speed of 2.4 GHz and can boost up to 4.2 GHz coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB PCIe SSD. It supports Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

Realme Book (slim) Core i5 variant can handle gaming at lower graphics settings and up to 60 fps, as we get the Iris Xe Graphics only in the higher variant.

Realme Book (slim): Keyboard & Trackpad

Realme Book (slim) has a Full-sized 3-mode Backlit keyboard but there is no Numpad present. The keys have a decent key travel of 1.3 mm and it is easier to type on for a longer duration.

The Trackpad is large and supports Windows Precision Drivers.

We also get a 2-in-1 Fingerprint scanner which doubles up as a Power Button on Realme Book (slim). 

Realme Book (slim): Connectivity & Ports

Realme Book (slim) is equipped with a lot of ports and connectivity features. WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 are for wireless connectivity features and we get two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 port, and a 3.5 mm combo headphone jack and we get a ThunderBolt 4 (USB 4) port on the Core i5 variant for the wired connectivity.

Realme Book (slim): Battery

Realme Book (slim) comes with a 54Whr battery and ships with a 65W PD Superfast Type-C Charger that can charge the Realme Book (Slim) up to 50 % in 30 minutes.

Realme claims that it can offer 11 hours of video playback on a single charge under normal conditions. 

The charger can also be used to charge Realme phones that support fast charging.

Realme Book (slim): Verdict

Realme Book (slim) is a perfect laptop for content creators and graphic designers who are just starting out, students who are deciding to buy a decent laptop with decent specs and performance, or casual users who intend to buy a laptop with awesome looks and good built quality to consume media. 

It is not for heavy gamers but creators will be happy with this Realme Book (slim).
